Versailles

Today was a travel day as we drove from Amsterdam to Versailles. During our time in at the DoubleTree hotel in Amsterdam, we definitely became well known because of our car. Remember, we have a car with the steering wheel on the right and when they would take it down to the garage for us they would have to take another person with them so they could get the ticket and get out of the garage. Everyone at the desk we talked to knew about our car. It would go something like this...
Hotel staff:  you're American right?
Jim: Yes
Hotel staff: you're driving an English car?
Jim: yes
Hotel staff: in Amsterdam?
Jim: Yes
They would just give us a funny look.

We did well traveling until we got into the Paris area and then the GPS on the phone wouldn't work and we got into a very long tunnel and ended up .... well we don't really know where we ended up, but somewhere in Paris and the traffic is horrible but we finally found our way.


Our hotel room is beautiful and they gave us a Happy Anniversary treat.
