We had such a great time driving through France, Belgium and the Netherlands. It was challenging with the car being a British car but we had fun! It is wonderful to be back on the ship though.
We got up and were happy to check out of our hotel. Besides being kind of nasty it was hot and the air conditioning was a fan in the closet which we didn't see until the morning. Thanks a lot! They did comp the rooms, the least they could do, and arrange for us to get a ride to the ship from the airport where we dropped off the car. Our ride to the ship was nice with a larger van with seats facing each other. Nice driver as well.
We dropped our luggage off and were free from lugging it around for the first time in 10 days. That's the bad part of traveling around in a car and making several stops.
We checked in and boarded the ship by 11:00. Once on board we were treated to a nice lunch in the dining room. All concierge class guests were invited to eat in the dining room rather than having to go to the buffet on the 14th deck. It was nice and we stayed there until they told us the cabins were ready, about 1:30.
We ran around the ship a little and then got ready for dinner.
Same cabin as before and it felt like home.
We saw the Queen Mary 2 and the Queen Elizabeth on our way out of port.
It was neat to see them and we had a battle of the fog horns on the way out of port. It just about scared me to death when it first sounded as we were on the deck in front of the horn watching the sail out. It was fun!
Strange fog/cloud bank as we left port. We were in the fog the entire night and the fog horn went off about every 5 minutes or so. It was kind of creepy.
We had dinner in the Tuscan Grille and had a fantastic meal.
Off to bed for us.
Sorry to all for not posting sooner. Last night I had problems with the internet and didn't get to post. I'm catching up now.
