But first let's catch up on today. We got up and had breakfast at the hotel and went back to our room to wait a bit for Bob and Denise's plane. They were delayed leaving Dallas/Ft. Worth Airport last night, something silly like a flat tire, the brakes weren't working right and then they couldn't get the plane off of the jack. I mean really, who needs all that stuff anyway! lol
We drove the 1/8 of a mile to the terminal and waited just a bit and here they are coming through security.
A little tired but looking good.
We packed their suitcases into our little car and off we went to the northern coast of France, the Normandy area. It was about a three hour drive through some beautiful countryside. We were all glad to get out of the car though.
We arrived at this beautiful chateau.
You can see Bob and Jim in front on the right.
This is the view from our window.

And bathroom
Jim playing with the resident dogs.
They served us some wine and a few snacks before we went off for some dinner.
We weren't very hungry and Jim and I needed to do some laundry desperately. So the owners of the chateau told us where a laundry place was and there right around the corner was a little brassiere that served some great pizza. We did laundry and ate pizza and we were ready to head back to the chateau. Bob and Denise were more than ready for bed by this time anyway.
When we got back Jim and I went out to sit on the front patio area for a bit. The weather is gorgeous.
We've got the windows open in our room and the birds are finally quieting down a little, it's dark outside finally and time for bed.
Tomorrow we tour the beaches and memorials of Normandy. Wish my other brother-in-law, Larry, was here to give us his knowledge as well.
Until tomorrow... from the Chateau de la Ferriere.
Glad to know you're all together now! The chateau looks beautiful and relaxing, I hope you have a lovely time during your stay and touring Normandy. Wishing you that happiest of Mother's Days during your adventure of a lifetime! Love you, Mom.
