This morning at breakfast, many people recognized us from last night's Wedding Games victory. We were treated like celebrities! Afterward, we went to another seminar, this one on the properties and science of the Atlantic Ocean, which was very interesting. All these seminars have been great, especially considering the topics could be boring. Then there was MickeyLive, who does different talks on photography and storing photos and such. Today he talked about drones. I missed most of it but Jim loved it.
There is a Corning Hot Glass Show on the ship where they blow glass and talk about it. They don't sell glass - it's just a show - and today they talked in detail about the science of glass. They went into the history of glass and how glass needs to melt and cool. Really fascinating stuff.
A selfie out on the lawn at the glass show.
I got a request from my daughter to post more water pictures. I thought it might bore people but here you go sweetie.
This is from yesterday, 4/21, when the seas were rough. It looks calmer than it actually felt on the ship, but it could have been much worse. Lots of white caps.
Much calmer water today. The Captain did say that there were still 8 foot waves.
The sun going down tonight. We're still forwarding our clocks at 2:00pm daily and tonight the sun set at 9:30. Unfortunately, we were at the show so I didn't see it actually set. I'll get one though. It is 11:44 pm here as I type this and 7:44 EST. We're moving an hour forward one day at a time.
Tonight for dinner we went to Qsine, the restaurant we did the cooking class at yesterday. It was so fun. They have changed some since we went to the restaurant last year. Everything is plated on very unusual items. I didn't take enough pictures but I will when we return to the restaurant next week.
This is our dessert though.
Yummy peach cobbler and ice cream with yummy chocolate bits.
Jim with his yummy beignets and the little bottles of sauce.
My yummy cupcakes with the trimmings. Decorate your own cupcake! YUM!
Then they came by with a large tray of grass with chocolate covered strawberries on sticks and creme brulee in a "cute" little egg cup nestled in the grass.
I promise to get pictures because I can't begin to describe the cuteness of how they serve the food.
As I said we're about half-way across the Atlantic Ocean. Here's your daily location picture.
Our entertainment tonight was the fabulous Jordan Peterson. He did all Elton John songs tonight. A few days ago he did a Billy Joel concert. He's a madman on the piano and sings great. He arranged the songs for the band and put the entire show together and he's only 25!! I mean really. I look for him to do great things.
That's all for now...time for bed.
Loving your blog!!!! Miss you !!!!
