Last day at sea

Well this is my last post from the Celebrity Eclipse. We're packed up and we've set our luggage outside to be taken downstairs.

We've walked around saying good bye to all the people who have been our family this last month and more. We took selfies with our favorites.

I will miss the sea. I know we live across the street from the ocean but it's not the same as cruising out in the open water. It's so peaceful and calming...most of the time anyway.

We had some excitement yesterday when a military helicopter from Denmark landed, or hovered over the front of the ship and they took a passenger off who was critically ill. We were at dinner in the Tuscan restaurant, which is at the back of the ship, and we saw that we were making a huge turn. That was unusual considering we were headed southwest toward Southampton, England. Soon after the captain came on the intercom and told us what was happening. Jim and I were leaving the restaurant and headed to the front of the ship. Unfortunately we didn't have time to get our camera. We weren't allowed to get close enough to see the landing due to safety concerns, but we did watch as the helicopter made three attempts to land and on the third attempt they made the transfer of the patient and off they went.

Here is the final picture of our magnet wall on the ship. I've packed them all up and we'll put them on our refrigerator at home.

This was our position last night.

This has been our home for the last weeks. Our floor and room number.

Markos invited us to have dessert in Murano. Even though we weren't dressed he said come in and so we did. We ordered our favorite Grand Marnier souffle. It's always good.

All gone!

And some little chocolates to top it off.

We've had such fun on this ship and this trip and while it's not quite over we're on the last few days, Today is day 49 and we come home on day 52 so we're close,

It will take me forever to do the Shutterfly books for this trip, so many wonderful things we've seen and done.

Tomorrow morning we'll get up early and leave the ship at around 7:00am. We're taking and excursion to Stonehenge, and then we'll be taken to London Heathrow airport. We'll spend Monday in London, where we plan to tour Greenwich, and walk around London for the day. We leave at 10:00am Tuesday on our return flight to the US.

See you soon!!
